The faculty of logistics was established in June, 2008.
The faculty carries out bachelor’s educational programs:
- Bachelor’s educational program in Organization and Management of International Transportation.
Master’s educational programs:
- Master’s educational program in Transport Logistics
Professional educational programs:
- Third stage vocational program of logistics operator in transport companies
- Fourth stage vocational program for logistics operator in transport companies
Right of attendance of bachelor’s educational programs
Precondition- In accordance with the effective Law of Georgia – complete basic education. Enrollment is carried out on the basis of results of unified national exams (grading document) except for the cases, established under the Law of Georgia On Higher Education (enrollment without unified national exams is carried out in accordance with the rules, specified under the legislation). In accordance with the effective Law of Georgia further study with this bachelor’s program is allowed by mobility for the students of Batumi Navigation Teaching University and students of other higher education institutions with the same stage education programs (compatibility of study results achieved by students with this program shall be established on the basis of regulations relating to the education (credits) recognition, effective in Teaching University in accordance with the Law of Georgia).
Right of attendance of master’s educational programs
Precondition- no less than bachelor’s or equivalent academic degree. Enrollment in this program is carried out based on master’s exam (document of grading) (enrollment without unified master’s exam is made in accordance with the rule prescribed by the legislation of Georgia for certain cases). Additional requirement of this program is to have English and Russian languages skills no less than B2 level. Internal exams are carried out in basis of logistics. For the purpose of publicity and availability of information, issues of internal exams will be placed on the web-site of Teaching University: www.bntu.edu.ge. Exams in English and/or Russian languagesare not required for an applicant of master’s program, who submits a document certifying language skills no less than B2 level. Document certifying language skills at relevant level implies a document approving to get education at English/Russian language (diploma/certificate), appendix to diploma/note/other, containing the relevant information issued by higher educational institution of foreign country/Georgia, certificates/other documents issued by organizations/representations with appropriate authorization, international certificates (in case of English language-for example TOEFEL (TOEFL PBT), TOEFEL (TOEFEL IBT), exams in English language of British Council and Cambridge University (IELTS), exams in English language of British Council and Cambridge University (Cambridge Exam), Cambridge University (Cambridge ESOL Examination)) and/or others. In master’s program of transport logistics (due it specificity) study is recommended for persons with bachelor’s or equivalent degree, whose qualifications pertains to this program and specialty. At the same time, based on the one of the purposes in studying master’s program (change in specialty, a person with another qualification is able to determine reasonability of studying in this program: to introduce description of master’s program placed on web-page-its purpose, content, planned study results, list and description of program teaching courses, to have conversation with a head of the program, receive/verify the information on program, get recommendations on his/her qualification and based on specificity of the program to determine if she/he can learn the program and achieve planned results. Continuation of study under this master’s program pursuant to the rule prescribed by the applicable legislation of Georgia is able for students of the same grade educational programs of higher education by mobility (compatibility of study results achieved by students for this program will be determined based on the regulations on recognition of education (credits) in teaching universities).
Right of attendance of vocational educational programs
On the basis of passing of basic stage of general education, in accordance with the Law of Georgia On Vocational Education, and taking into consideration of specificity of profession, based on meeting of additional requirements envisaged under vocational standard, a person is entitled to get vocational education for the purpose of obtaining of knowledge, skills and values required for professional activities. Based on specific vocational standard, it is also possible to specify the rules for enrollment of student in vocational education program. To get BNTU vocational student status, a person is obliged to meet requirements established in accordance with the effective Law of Georgia and determined by BNTU regarding enrollment in vocational program. In accordance with the Law of Georgia and other regulations effective in BNTU, further study with BNTU vocational program is allowed by mobility for the vocational students of Batumi Navigation Teaching University and other higher education institutions.
