Georgia on the path of European integration - public lecture was attended by students of different higher education institutions, including Batumi Navigation Teaching University. The event was held in the framework of European Days in Batumi. Levan Dolidze, Chairman of the Center for Security and Development of Georgia, spoke about the importance of youth integration into the European structures. Some important issues were discussed, including: What way did Georgia and what should be done to speed up the process, how important is the involvement of each citizen in the process of integration into European structures and what challenges the country faces, what perspectives do we have in this direction and what issues we are working on that you do not disintegrate. “In the process of Georgia's Euro-integration process there are two things that are important: first to keep our efforts not to drop down on processes and to make practical and functional integration. A clear example of this is the abolition of visa regime. Years ago it was unbelievable for me, but now we have this reality. The focus should be made on regions, including Adjara. This is why the Black Sea Cooperation Center should be created, which will work in this direction,”said Levan Dolidze. Deputy Director of Maritime Transport Agency focused on the success achieved on the way to European integration. Ivane Abashidze talked about Seafarers,as the representatives of one of the most important profession who export the Georgian service. The public lecture was organized by the Maritime Transport Agency and the students of four higher education institutions took part in it. The Batumi Navigation Teaching University is permanently involved in similar projects. The project "European Days" “about Information Center on NATO and EU" has been implemented with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the EU Delegation to Georgia for the seventh consecutive year and aims to inform Georgian citizens about the EU and Georgia relations as well as the integration process. "European Days 2019" will last until May 23rd.
