Language School

The role of the Language School is to offer BNTU students, vocational students and personnel and other individuals interested in learning foreign languages the opportunity to study both conversational and professional terminology. Additionally, the school’s functions include:

 

  • Teaching English, German, French, and Russian in line with the language proficiency levels established by the Council of Europe.
  • Offering Georgian language courses and/or language skill enhancement for foreign language students, according to the Council of Europe's proficiency levels.
  • Providing business English, German, French and Russian language courses.
  • Teaching professional terminology (tailored to the specific needs of the educational programs at BNTU).
  • Assisting in collecting information about educational institutions in various countries, including options for financing education, scholarships and grants.
  • Providing support for participation in exchange programs, projects, and other related opportunities.
  • Offering resources for teaching and learning, including specialized literature, preparatory materials for various tests, audio-visual aids and electronic resources.
  • Inviting experts to conduct various courses.
  • Assisting with internships aimed at improving language skills in real-world settings.
  • Training applicants in English, German, and Russian.
  • Periodically inviting staff from various higher educational institutions and foreign language specialists to conduct lessons, consultations, and master classes.
  • Establishing partnerships with Georgian and international educational institutions and organizations to enhance language learning programs, provide new educational and methodological literature, introduce modern teaching methodologies, share advanced practices, and promote opportunities for obtaining international language proficiency certificates for graduates.
  • Issuing internal university certificates from Batumi Navigation Teaching University upon successful completion of the language study program at the school.
