About Us

The International Maritime Training Center at BNTU provides training, retraining and certification for maritime specialists and students at BNTU's higher and vocational education programmes. This is carried our in compliance with the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers of 1978 (STCW 78, with amendments), as well as the law of Georgia "On Seafarers Education and Certification" and requirements of other international and national regulation.

The Mission of International Maritime Training Center

The Center's mission is to:

Highly qualified instructors teach marine specialists at the International Maritime Training Center, including deep sea captains, senior ship mechanics and electrical mechanics.

The International Maritime Training Center is certified in accordance with the international quality standard ISO9001:2015. The center is recognized by the Maritime Transport Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, and in 2017, it received recognition from the maritime administration of Honduras.
