BSAMI Extraordinary Meeting

On May 7, 2025, an extraordinary meeting of the Black Sea Association of Maritime Institutions (BSAMI) was held in Constanta, Romania, which was attended by Professor George Gabedava, Head of International Relations at Batumi Navigation Teaching University.

The meeting was hosted by Constanta Maritime University, where participants were welcomed by the University Rector, Associate Professor Gabriel Raicu.

The meeting agenda included the following issues: discussion of the Constanta Statement regarding new directions and developments, revision of the BSAMI Basic Agreement, which focused on areas such as shared recognitions, objectives, membership, activities, organizational management, and financing.

Financial matters, the BSAMI website, acceptance of new members, and proposals for future activities were also discussed. The meeting concluded with an official ceremony for signing the Constanta Statement.

This meeting was important for deepening cooperation among maritime education institutions in the Black Sea region and implementing new future initiatives.

It is noteworthy that Batumi Navigation Teaching University is a member of BSAMI.
