Sixth International Conference "Sustainable Transport System and Maritime Logistics"
"Sustainable Transport System and Maritime Logistics" - on June 24, 2022, the Sixth International Conference was organized by the Batumi Navigation Teaching University.
The event was dedicated to the International Day of Seafarers and was opened by Parmen Khvedelidze, BNTU Rector, Professor and Master Mariner.
Ivane Abashidze, Deputy Director of the Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia, as well as the Head of the Quality Assurance Service of the BNTU, Professor Natia Mikeltadze, and the rectors of partner universities from Ukraine and Bulgaria addressed the conference participants. The participants of the conference expressed their solidarity with the ongoing war in Ukraine.
"Maritime Containers Shipping and ESG Factors: The Sustainability of the Container Industry in the COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis", "The Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the World Transport Sector and Its Economic Consequences for the World and Georgia", "Regional Aspects of Logistics Competitiveness", "Transformation into a Force Majeure Crisis" - these and other topics were discussed by the participants of the international conference for several hours.
There were 4 sections working on the conference dedicated to Seafarers Day. The reports were presented by professors of Georgian and foreign educational institutions in several languages. Including representatives of partner universities from Ukraine.
