3rd International Excellence School
On January 24–26, 2025, Professor George Gabedava, Head of the International Relations Service at the BNTU, took part in the 3rd International Excellence School. This event, organized as part of the I2Q project, aimed to promote the internationalization of higher education in Georgia. The primary focus of the Excellence School was “Intellectual Property in Higher Education.”
The event was inaugurated by Tamar Ghvamichava, Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, who emphasized the importance of initiatives supporting internationalization as outlined in the Higher Education Component of the I2Q Project.
Welcoming remarks were also delivered by Tamar Sanikidze, Executive Director of the “Innovation, Inclusion, and Quality Project” – Georgia I2Q (WB), Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia, Professor Shalva Kirtadze, Rector of Akaki Tsereteli State University and Professor Tatiana Fumasoli from University College London (UCL).
The International Excellence School hosted 30 young scientists and researchers.
The event was organized by University College London (in partnership with the consulting firm Savvy Business Ltd) and co-hosted by Kutaisi International University and Akaki Tsereteli State University in Kutaisi.
