The 14th Session of The Permanent Conference of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Georgia
On December 25, 2024, the 14th session of the Permanent Conference of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Georgia was held at Tbilisi State Medical University. The conference was attended by an Associate Professor and Head of the International Relations Service at Batumi Navigation Teaching University George Gabedava.
During the session, the members of the Conference of Rectors actively discussed aspects of quality assurance in higher education, with particular attention given to the importance of membership in the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).
Additionally, the conference held elections for its chairperson, and Academician Davit Gurgenidze, Rector of the Georgian Technical University, was re-elected for a second term. Professor Gurgenidze expressed his gratitude to his colleagues for their trust and emphasized that the conference, as a full member of the European University Association (EUA), plays a significant role in the development of Georgia’s higher education system.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the members shared plans for future activities and action strategies aimed at promoting the support of high-quality education and reforms in Georgian universities.
The Conference of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Georgia is a full member of the European University Association (EUA) and serves as one of the key pillars in the educational landscape.
