The World Read Aloud Day at BNTU
On February 3, 2025, BNTU celebrated the World Read Aloud Day. As part of the event, Mari Korinteli, the founder of the Book Club, met with students and vocational students to discuss the importance, influence and significance of literature.
During the discussion, it was emphasized that reading is not only a means of expanding knowledge and understanding the world but also a crucial tool for personal growth, critical thinking, and the development of emotional intelligence.
“At your age, when you have countless questions and do not yet know the answers to most of them, I encourage you to read anything and everything. It is through this ‘indiscriminate’ reading that you will eventually learn how to distinguish and appreciate quality literature,” Ms. Mari advised the audience.
The event generated significant interest, providing students with the opportunity to engage in discussions, ask questions and share their perspectives.
